Traffic police official sustains severe injury during duty

LAYYAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) A traffic police officer was seriously injured after a speeding motorcycle struck him while

he was performing duty in Layyah city, according to police sources.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Latif Shah sustained a broken arm in the accident.

Senior officers, including SP Investigation Malik Shahid and DSP Traffic Zafar Iqbal, rushed to the scene and ensured his immediate transfer to hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities said further inquiry into the incident is underway.
