WAH CANTT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Mar, 2026) In a heartbreaking incident, a couple lost their lives in a devastating car crash on the M-1 Motorway near Brahma Bhattar interchange within the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar Police Station on Tuesday, while their two minor children sustained critical injuries.

According to National Highways and Motorway Police and Rescue 1122 sources, the family was travelling in a car when, suddenly, the vehicle lost control for unknown reasons, hit the divider, and subsequently overturned after plunging into a roadside ditch. The impact proved fatal for the driver, Umair Anyat, and his wife Komal Umair, who died on the spot.

Rescue teams responded promptly and shifted the deceased and injured to Wah General Hospital, however, due to the serious nature of their injuries, the two children—four-year-old Meeral and three-year-old Asad—were later referred to Holy Family Hospital for advanced treatment.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the accident, therefore seeking to ascertain the exact cause of the crash, moreover urging motorists to exercise caution on highways to prevent such tragic accidents.
