Transport strike on Galiyat routes ends after swift action by SSP Traffic

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) A strike by public transport drivers operating on Galiyat routes was called off following timely intervention and effective strategy by SSP Traffic Muhammad Ishtiaq here Saturday.

The strike had caused significant travel difficulties for commuters, prompting SSP Traffic to take immediate notice of the situation. He directed DSP Traffic Headquarters Muhammad Sajjad to engage with the transport stand administration and drivers to address their concerns.

DSP Traffic Muhammad Sajjad promptly reached the site and held detailed discussions with the drivers and transport officials. After listening to their issues, he presented practical solutions through mutual consultation, which led to the drivers announcing the end of the strike.

According to Traffic Police Abbottabad, ensuring public convenience remains their top priority, and all possible steps will continue to be taken to prevent inconvenience to citizens.
