Triple murder accused arrested, weapons recovered in Kohat

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Kohat police on Monday successfully arrested suspects involved in the tragic killing of three brothers in the jurisdiction of City Police Station, Kalu Khan Banda. According to District Police Officer Shehbaz Elahi, the gruesome incident that occurred on March 27 prompted immediate and decisive action from law enforcement agencies.

Responding to the incident, the DPO personally visited the crime scene and issued directives for the swift arrest of the culprits. Subsequently, a specialized police team was constituted under the supervision of Ejaz Ali and led by Abdul Rauf Bangash. The team conducted intensive search operations, set up checkpoints, and carried out targeted raids across the area.

As a result of these efforts, police effectively apprehended the accused identified as Yousaf Khan, Muhammad Hasnain, and Shah Nawaz, residents of Garhi Banorian. Moreover, weapons used in the crime were also recovered from their possession, strengthening the case against them. The victims were identified as Ahmed Zaman, Faisal Zaman, and Akbar Zaman, residents of Garhi Mawaz Khan.

The accused have been shifted to City Police Station and placed behind bars, while further investigation is actively underway. Furthermore, DPO Shehbaz Elahi, along with senior officers, briefed media representatives, reaffirming the police’s commitment to ensuring justice and maintaining lawful order in the district.
