Two arrested in Wah for promoting firearms on social media

WAH CANTT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jun, 2026) Police in Wah arrested two suspects on Friday for allegedly displaying and promoting firearms on social media, a practice authorities say contributes to fear and insecurity among the public.

The operation was carried out by Saddar Wah Police as part of ongoing efforts to curb the illegal display and glorification of weapons.

During the raid, officers took the suspects into custody and recovered two 30-bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession.

Police officials stated that the suspects had been using social media platforms to showcase firearms, an act that allegedly spread fear and alarm among citizens and violated relevant laws.

Authorities said the crackdown on illegal weapon display will continue to maintain public safety and ensure strict action against those glorifying firearms online.
