Two children drown in canals

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) In 2 separate incidents of drowning of children in the waterways, the Rescue 1122 pulled out the dead body of an around 5 years old baby girl while search for a 10 years old boy continued.

The Rescue 1122 spokesman informed here on Saturday that a child's body wrapped with a rope and bricks was pulled out from Pinyari canal near Karan Khan Shoro village. The unidentified dead body was shifted to Liaquat University Hospital's mortuary, the official said, quoting the LUH's doctors that the body seemed to be around 5 days old.

Meanwhile, in another incident the rescue team's divers continued search for 10 years old Sahil in the Phuleli Canal near Fateh Chowk.Bhan Singh, his father, told the officials that his son drowned while swimming.
