Two cops dismissed from service, SI reinstated temporarily to face fresh inquiry

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan Usman Akram Gondal presided an Orderly Room meeting

where he heard appeals of police personnel and officers here Tuesday, upholding dismissal from

service penalty imposed on two constables and temporarily reinstated a sub inspector with orders

he should face fresh inquiry to be conducted by SP Cantonment.

Speaking on the occasion, the RPO said that internal accountability mechanism in police department

was swift and hard on wrongdoers, issuing a stern warning that no violation of law, and procedure

would be tolerated at any level.

The RPO granted appeal of inspector Naveed Yousuf who had challenged the punishment of increment

stoppage for two years while sub inspector Ejaz ul Hassan, who was dismissed from service, was

reinstated temporarily with directions to SP Cantonment to conduct inquiry again.

Two appeals of retired sub inspector Maqsood were granted and appeal of Ghazi Asghar Ali challenging

six-month service period confiscation was accepted.

Two-year service confiscation of sub inspector Asim Gulraiz was converted into censure, however,

appeals of SIs Muhammad Shafiq, Muhammad Arshad were rejected. Appeal of Ramzan Javed who

was demoted to the rank of ASI was converted into censure and he was restored to his previous

rank of sub inspector.

Appeal of retired sub inspector Muhammad Amin was rejected while appeal of constable Tahir Mushtaq

against dismissal from service was accepted. Appeals of lady constable Rabia Rafi and cook Irfan

Manzoor were also accepted, however, appeals of constables Tahir Qasim and Farhan Saqib who

had challenged their dismissal from service, were rejected by the RPO.
