Two dacoits killed in separate encounters

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Two dacoits were killed and four others escaped in two separate encounters

with the CCD on Tuesday.

According to a police spokesperson, Incharged CCD Jaranwala Adeel Shaukat with his team

set up a picket on Syedwala road. The police team signaled two motorcycle riders that opened

firing instead to stop and fled towards Chak Hamandah.

Police chased and in exchange of fire, one dacoit, who was later identified as Shahid of Chak

No 378-GB, was arrested.

The accused was being shifted to a local hospital but he succumbed to his

injuries on the way. The accused was wanted by the police in more than 15 cases.

In another incident near Chohla morrh, Jhang road, a dacoit /drug dealer Farooq of New Civil Line was killed in exchange of fire with police, while his three other accomplices managed to escape.

Police recovered a snatched motorcycle, weapons, drugs and other valuables from their possession.
