Two die, one injured as Asjad Mehmood's convoy vehicle skids off road

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) A vehicle from the security convoy of Maulana Asad Mahmood, son of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, skidded off the road and plunged into a ditch due to rain, leaving two volunteers dead and one injured.

According to details, the accident occurred near Wanda Yarik on the CPEC route when the vehicle lost control on the slippery road.

As a result, two members of Ansar-ul-Islam—Maulana Qari Ehsanullah Haqqani and Maulana Junaid Ahmed, both residents of Lakki Marwat—lost their lives on the spot. One person sustained injuries and was shifted to hospital.

The driver, however, miraculously remained unharmed. The impact of the crash was severe, causing significant damage to the vehicle.
