CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Police on Thursday in Chenab Nagar carried out targeted operations and arrested two suspected drug peddlers from different areas, officials said, as part of an ongoing crackdown against narcotics.

The operation was led by SHO Saifullah, along with ASIs Aurangzeb and Zaheer Abbas, who, along with their team, conducted raids resulting in the arrests. Cases have been registered against the suspects at Chenab Nagar Police Station under relevant narcotics laws, and further investigation is underway.

District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif , while exclusively talking to APP, said the department is taking practical steps across the district to protect future generations from the threat of drugs.

He added that a special campaign against drug dealers is actively being pursued.

He emphasized that effective and thorough investigation of narcotics cases is being ensured so that those involved are brought to justice. Stressing the role of community support, he urged citizens to report any drug-related activity in their areas, noting that public cooperation is essential for the complete eradication of narcotics.
