Two drug suspects held, 3 kg hashish, 1.8 kg Ice recovered in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) The district police have arrested two suspected drug traffickers and recovered 3 kilograms of hashish and 1.8 kilograms of Ice drug during separate checking operations at the Mughal Kot checkpoint on Tuesday.

According to police spokesman, the actions were carried out on the directives of District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmad under the supervision of SP Saddar Division Asif Mahmood and DSP Daraban Circle Inam Khan Gandapur.

During snap checking, the police stopped a suspicious Toyota vehicle bearing registration number (ASJ-472). Upon search, officers recovered three kilograms of hashish from the possession of the driver, identified as Rasool Khan, a resident of Pir Ashab in Paharpur tehsil.

In a separate operation, another vehicle bearing registration number (BAW-736) was intercepted at the checkpoint. The police said 1.8 kilograms of Ice drug was recovered from secret compartments of the car, while the suspect, Arsala Khan, a resident of Charsadda, was arrested on the spot.

The cases have been registered against both suspects.

DPO Ziauddin Ahmad said the crackdown against drug dealers and smugglers would be continued across the district to protect the younger generation from narcotics.
