Two female thieves arrested, 5.9m cash, 14-tola gold recovered

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) The police have solved the mystery of a major incident of theft of lakhs of rupees in cash and gold ornaments from a citizen’s house in the Lohari area, here on Friday.

In-charge Investigation Police Station Lohari Gate Abbas-ul-Hassan, along with a police team, arrested two female suspects.

According to the police, the arrested suspects include two main female suspects of the Shammo Changarr gang, from whose possession 59 lakh rupees in cash and 14 tolas of gold were recovered.

According to the initial investigation, the female suspects broke the locks of the house in the absence of the family members and stole cash and jewelry.

The investigation officer said, the arrested female suspects have previous records and dozens of cases have been registered against them in different police stations.

DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza handed over the recovered stolen property to the plaintiff in the case.
