Two get death sentence in dacoity-cum-murder case

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) An Additional District and Sessions Judge, Arif Mujahid, on Thursday awarded the death sentence to two members of an inter-district gang in a dacoity-cum-murder case.

According to the prosecution, three suspects forced their way into a department store in Lohar Wala, Khangarh, around one and a half years ago.

They looted Rs 340,000 in cash and shot dead the owner, Mian Nazir Bhatti.

The accused were caught by residents while attempting to flee and were beaten up. One of them, identified as Ghulam Rasool, later died, while the remaining two were handed over to the police.

Advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhatti, along with Amir Nazir Sandeela and Javed Iqbal, represented the complainant and argued for a conviction.

The court sentenced the two accused, Muhammad Akhtar and Muhammad Ajmal, to death.
