LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone on Wednesday arrested two suspects involved in hawala/hundi and copyright violations during separate raids conducted by its Corporate Crime Circle.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrested accused were identified as Muhammad Ali Munir and Nadir, who were apprehended during operations in different areas of Lahore.
The spokesperson said that Muhammad Ali Munir was found involved in illegal Currency exchange and hawala/hundi.
An amount of Rs450,000 was recovered from his possession along with documentary and digital evidence related to the illegal business.
In a separate action, accused Nadir was arrested for his involvement in violation of the Copyright Act. A large quantity of counterfeit products of a registered company was recovered from him. He was found involved in stocking and selling fake branded items.
Further investigation into the cases is underway, the spokesperson added.
