Two held for hawala-hundi, Rs9.15m recovered

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Corporate Crime Circle on Tuesday arrested two suspects allegedly involved in hawala/hundi operations and illegal Currency exchange during a raid in Eden City.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspects were identified as Muhammad Rizwan and Muhammad Adnan.

During the raid, the FIA team recovered Rs 9.15 million in cash from their possession. mobile phones and other material linked to illegal currency exchange and hawala transactions were also seized.

The accused have been taken into custody, and further investigations are underway.
