Two held over alleged assault of teenage girl in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Police have arrested two suspects in a swift operation after registering a case over the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in the Waris Khan area, police said on Friday.

According to a police spokesman, the complainant stated in the First Information Report (FIR) that her daughter had gone to a market when the two accused allegedly forced her into a house and sexually assaulted her.

The Waris Khan Police registered a case and promptly took both nominated suspects into custody.

The victim has undergone a medical examination as part of the investigation process.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Saad Arshad said sexual abuse or harassment of women and children was intolerable, adding that the detained suspects would be presented to court with solid evidence and strict action would be taken according to law, he added.
