Two held with 10kg hashish at Aman-Mela check post

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) The district police have foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics and arrested two suspects after recovering 10 kilograms of hashish here at Aman-Mela check post on Tuesday.

According to police spokesman, the operation was conducted under the leadership of DSP Darazinda Sharifullah Khan, along with SHO Darazinda Fawad Khan Sherani and the in-charge of the check post.

During routine checking, the police stopped a motorcycle carrying two individuals identified as Gul Zaman son of Qutab Din and Marjan son of Sadiq, both residents of Zhob.

A search of the suspects led to the recovery of 10 kilograms of hashish.

The suspects were taken into custody on the spot, and a case has been registered against them. Further investigation is underway.

DPO Ziauddin Ahmad reiterated the police department’s commitment to curbing drug trafficking, stating that operations against narcotics smugglers will continue without discrimination.
