Two held with counterfeit currency

JAMRUD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) Police arrested two accused for allegedly attempting to circulate counterfeit Currency into market and recovered fake currency notes from their possession.

According to a statement issued by District Police Officer Waqar Ahmed on Saturday, the arrests were made during a snap checking operation near Bara Market, where police officials recovered fake currency notes from the possession of the accused.

The arrested were identified as Zabiullah and Abdul Jalil were arrested during snap checking near Bara Market.

A case has since been registered against both individuals, and a further investigation into the incident has been initiated.
