Two killed, nine injured in separate incidents in Attock's Jand

Two people were killed and nine others, including four women, injured in separate incidents in Jand tehsil of Attock district on Tuesday

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) Two people were killed and nine others, including four women, injured in separate incidents in Jand tehsil of Attock district on Tuesday.

According to police and rescue sources, the incidents include a drowning, a tractor accident, and a road collision. In the first incident, a man named Mustaqeem, who had been missing for a week, was found dead in a water pond near Injra railway station.

Locals spotted the body floating and informed authorities. Mustaqeem was reportedly mentally challenged.

Another incident occurred in village Chapri, where 50-year-old Bashir Ahmad lost his life after being crushed under an overturned tractor while working in the fields.

Rescue teams promptly shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Jand. A separate road accident on Pindi-Kohat Road involved a passenger van, rickshaw, and motorcycle, injuring nine people, including four women.

The collision was reportedly due to road rage, leaving some injured in critical condition. Rescue 1122 teams provided first aid and shifted the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Jand for treatment.

Police have registered cases and initiated investigations into the incidents.
