Two killed, one injured as SUV collides with rickshaw

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Mar, 2026) Two persons were killed while another sustained injuries when a speeding sports utility vehicle (SUV) collided with a chingchi rickshaw in Askari Colony Phase One, here on Tuesday.

According to rescue sources, the deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Muhammad Abid, son of Muhammad Zahid, and an unidentified male, approximately 35 years of age. The injured, 22-year-old Muhammad Adil, son of Muhammad Mubeen, was rushed to Nishtar Hospital in critical condition and is receiving immediate medical care.

Rescue 1122 teams reached the site promptly and began emergency operations. The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the morgue following the completion of necessary legal formalities in the presence of police personnel.

Police officials stated that initial investigations suggest that the accident caused by excessive speed and driver negligence. Further inquiries are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances leading to the collision.
