Two murder suspects held in separate operations

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jul, 2026) The district police have arrested two suspects in separate murder cases during successful operations in the Paharpur and Paniala areas, with efforts continuing to apprehend the remaining accused, police said on Thursday.

According to police spokesman, acting on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ziauddin Ahmad, police teams launched targeted operations under the supervision of SP Paharpur Division Iqbal Khan Baloch.

In the first operation, police arrested Uzair Gul son of Ghulam Rabbani, a resident of Shah Hassan Khel, who is allegedly involved in the murder case reported a few days ago in the Paniala area. The operation was led by DSP Sardar Alamgir Khan and SHO Asghar Khan Wazir. The suspect has been taken into custody, while raids are underway to arrest the remaining accused.

In a separate operation, the Paharpur police claimed to have solved a blind murder case within two hours of the incident by arresting the main suspect named Ahmad son of Khair Muhammad, a resident of Saim Nala, Paharpur. The operation was carried out under the leadership of DSP Parvez Shah and SHO Cadet Zafar Abbas. Police said raids are continuing to apprehend another suspect involved in the case.

DSP Sardar Alamgir Khan said police would continue indiscriminate action against elements attempting to disturb peace.

The DPO appreciated the performance of the police teams for their swift action and reiterated that operations against criminal elements would continue without discrimination across the district.
