Two robbers killed in alleged police encounter

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Mar, 2026) Two suspected robbers were killed in an alleged police encounter near 16-WB, officials said,here on Saturday.

Police said the suspects were riding a motorcycle on Pakpattan Canal Road when they were signalled to stop.

Instead of complying,they allegedly opened fire on the police party.

In response,police took cover and returned fire.

After the exchange, both suspects were found dead at the scene.

Officials claimed the suspects were killed by the firing of their own accomplices during the encounter.

The bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem examination.

The deceased were identified as brothers, Asif alias Asu Girwa and Waqas Girwa, r/of16-WB.

Police said they were allegedly involved in robbery,theft and other street crimes.
