Two vehicle lifters arrested, five motorcycles, weapons recovered

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) The police busted an inter-district vehicle lifter gang by arresting its two members

and recovered five motorcycles, cash and illicit weapons.

A police spokesman said that Incharge DIB Circle Jaranwala Sub Inspector (SI) Rana Sohail Amjad led

a targeted operation with his team and arrested two vehicle lifters, including gang-leader Shabbir alias Billi and his associate.

The accused were involved in stealing motorcycles and mobile phones from multiple police station jurisdictions.

During operation, the police recovered five motorcycles, several mobile phones, a pistol and Rs500,000 from the possession of the accused.

More than five criminal cases had been traced following the arrest while investigations were underway to uncover further links of the gang, he added.
