Two young boys drown in Kohat pond

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) Two young boys lost their lives after drowning in a pond near Abbasin school in the Gambat tehsil of Kohat district, rescue officials informed on Saturday.

Rescue divers, along with local residents, carried out a joint operation to retrieve the bodies from the pond.

The deceased were later shifted to a nearby hospital, where their deaths were confirmed.

The victims were identified as 13-year-old Areeb, son of Muzammil Shah, and 10-year-old Aliyan, son of Ahmad Shah. Both were residents of Gambat. Further legal procedures was underway.
