ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) The top-tier religious leaders and preachers of the country paid tribute to the armed forces on the first anniversary of Mark-e-Haq, reiterating their resolve to render every sacrifice to defend the country at any cost.

They expressed this resolve during a meeting of Ulema and Mashaikh held on Tuesday at the Ministry of Religious Affairs under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.

The participants stated that the courage, strategy, and professionalism with which the Pakistani armed forces responded to the enemy’s aggression under Operation Banyan al-Marsoos will be written in golden letters in history.

The meeting emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the military vision of Asim Munir, has demonstrated peace, unity, excellent diplomacy, and steadfastness, which has elevated Pakistan’s prestige at the global level.

The scholars and Mashaikhs expressed unwavering solidarity with the Pakistani armed forces and announced their full support in the ongoing struggle against terrorism.

The declaration made it clear that if any kind of aggression is carried out by the enemy, the entire nation will stand united with the Pakistani armed forces and will not hesitate to make every sacrifice to protect the country’s sovereignty, integrity, and ideological borders.

The meeting also paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistani armed forces, the great stories of the martyrs, and the courage of the Ghazis, stating that these sacrifices will always remain a source of pride for the nation.

According to the announcement made during the meeting, on Friday, May 8, scholars across the country will observe a day of thanksgiving for the success of Operation Banyan al-Marsoos and the stability of Pakistan, during which special prayers and ceremonies will be organized.
