Umair Rana, a well-known and versatile actor of the Pakistani showbiz industry who brilliantly portrays negative characters, has shared his experiences of playing roles like father and grandfather at a young age.
Umair Rana started his career in theater as an actor and director.
His prominent dramas include Pyar Ke Sadke, Ishq Murshid, Zain Mureed, Dil Na Umid To Nahi, and Sang-e-Maah.
He played the role of the father of famous actor Bilal Abbas Khan in the drama serial Pyar Ke Sadke and Ishq Murshid, which was very much liked by the fans. Recently, Umair Rana participated in a podcast, where he discussed various issues and also shared his experiences of playing roles like father and grandfather at a young age.
He said that once I met a fan in a private hotel, he asked me how I accepted the role of Bilal Abbas Khan’s father, because according to him, I could have looked more like Bilal’s elder brother, I was amazed at this.
Umair Rana narrated another incident and said that in a similar drama, which I would not like to name, I was playing the role of Laila Wasti’s husband and we also had a grown-up daughter. In one scene, she is taking her daughter to the hospital in distress and I am returning from the office. When I asked what happened, he told me that I am going to become a grandfather soon.
He said that I laughed out loud after hearing this, my laughter in this scene was genuine because I was really trying to understand the situation that I was playing the role of a grandfather.
