UN SG appreciates Pakistan’s constructive role; commends DPM/FM Dar’s efforts

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Tuesday, appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in convening the Islamabad talks and commended Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar’s efforts in advancing the regional peace

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Tuesday, appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in convening the Islamabad talks and commended Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar’s efforts in advancing the regional peace.

The DPM/FM received a call from the UN secretary general, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release.

The UN secretary general also expressed UN’s full support to Pakistan’s continued efforts in this regard.

The DPM/FM reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability in the region.
