Under-trial prisoners clash in police van

KOT ADDU, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jul, 2026) A case has been registered against five under-trial prisoners for brawling inside a police van while being brought back to a lock-up after a court hearing.

According to the police, the prisoners were being transported from the court of Abdul Manan Qureshi to the lock-up when they exchanged abuses and came to blows.

Two prisoners, Rashid and Kashif, were injured, with Rashid receiving a head injury and Kashif sustaining scratches on his arm, stomach and head. The prisoners also allegedly manhandled police personnel.

Lock-up in-charge Irshad got a case registered at Kot Addu City police station against prisoners Rashid, Kashif, Farhan, Zahid Rasheed and Fateh over the previous day's incident.
