Unidentified man shot dead in Kohat, Police launch investigation

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) An unidentified man was shot dead by unknown assailants on Dhodha Road within the limits of Milzai Police Station late Monday, police officials said.

According to preliminary reports, the victim came under gunfire near the northern industrial area when armed suspects opened fire and fled the scene immediately after the attack. The motive behind the killing could not be immediately established.

Police and other law enforcement personnel rushed to the site following the incident, secured the area and collected evidence. The body was shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal procedures and identification.

Authorities said an investigation has been launched to determine the identity of the deceased and trace those involved in the shooting. Police vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice and said efforts were underway to arrest the suspects at the earliest.
