Unique Group holds boy scouts awareness seminar

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jul, 2026) The Unique Group of Institutions (UGIs) organised a Boy Scouts awareness seminar at the Dr Nisar Ahmad Rana Auditorium to highlight the role of scouting in character building, discipline and community service.

The seminar was presided over by Unique Group of Institutions Rector Professor Amjad Ali Khan, who said the fundamental purpose of education was to build character and bring about positive behavioural change among students.

He said educational institutions engaged students in constructive activities to develop positive attitudes, adding that the Boy Scouts movement was an important platform for nurturing discipline, leadership and a sense of responsibility.

Professor Amjad said scouting training enabled students to play a meaningful role in society and prepare themselves to shoulder responsibilities effectively in practical life.

He said service to humanity was the core objective of the Boy Scouts movement and such training helped shape a brighter future for the younger generation.

He added that trained Boy Scouts always remained at the forefront during natural disasters, emergencies and other difficult situations, rendering valuable services to the community.

Pakistan Boy Scouts Programme Officer Abdullah Jahanzeb and national hockey player Seema Saboor also addressed the seminar, highlighting the significance of scouting in developing leadership qualities, teamwork and civic responsibility among youth.

Unique Group Director (Academics) Professor Waseem Anwar Chaudhry, Director (Admin) Professor Muhammad Abdullah, along with parents, teachers and a large number of Boy Scouts, attended the seminar.
