RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry on Wednesday said that “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos” had emerged as a symbol of national unity, resilience and defensive strength.

Addressing the “Jashan e Bunyan-um-Marsoos- Pak Fauj Zindabad Conference” as chief guest, he said the success of the operation was driven by the professional capabilities of the armed forces, leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the strategy of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

A large number of citizens from different walks of life attended the conference, including head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat Pakistan and Chairman District Peace Committee Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal Rizvi and President Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan Shehzar Dilawar Khan.

Danyal said that Pakistan not only responded effectively on the military front during Marka-e-Haq but also established its superiority in narrative and diplomatic domains.

Referring to the events of May 7 last year, he highlighted that India, contrary to its claims of targeting militant hideouts, had attacked innocent civilians, resulting in the martyrdom of 31 Pakistanis and injuries to 57 others, including women and children.

He termed the act a violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and said the country responded through “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos” by targeting enemy military installations, demonstrating that Pakistan was a responsible yet strong defensive power.

He said the entire nation stood united beyond political and religious differences alongside the armed forces, thwarting the enemy’s designs.

Danyal while lauding commendable performance by Pakistan's forces said the armed forces, with the support of the people, displayed exceptional professionalism and delivered a response that would be remembered for years, adding that the success was the result of sacrifices rendered by martyrs.

He said martyrs were a guiding light for the nation while veterans were national heroes, adding that Pakistan had emerged stronger after Marka-e-Haq and symbolized stability in the region.

Speakers, including Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal Rizvi and Shehzar Dilawar, also paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces and termed national unity as the country’s real strength.
