UOG board meeting discusses research activities

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) The 27th meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board (AS&RB) of the University of Gujrat was held at Hafiz Hayat Campus.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq, who presided over the meeting online, said that strengthening academic linkages between teachers and students could lead to outstanding results in higher education. He said teachers play a vital role in shaping students’ academic success and promoting a supportive learning environment.

According to official sources, the board reviewed ongoing postgraduate programmes including PhD, MPhil, MS and LLM, and discussed measures to further enhance research activities and broaden the scope of academic work.

The participants approved the recommendations and agenda of the 26th meeting at the outset. During detailed deliberations on the agenda, members presented suggestions for improving research and academic programmes across different departments.

Deputy Registrar AS&RB Sarwat Khursheed performed the duties of secretary. Deans, senior faculty members, nominated and elected members, and representatives from affiliated colleges attended the meeting both online and in person.
