UoG reviews academic standards measures

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) The Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), University of Gujrat, held its second meeting for the academic year 2025-26 at Hafiz Hayat Campus to review progress on quality enhancement goals.

According to official sources, the meeting was chaired by Dean Faculty of Arts Prof Dr Zahid Yousaf and attended by faculty deans, administrative officials, departmental focal persons and IQC members.

Deputy Director QEC Muhammad Qasim Gujar briefed participants on the targets set during the first IQC meeting and reviewed progress made so far.

He also discussed departmental goals assigned under (PREE) and (RIPE) recommendations.

Participants suggested measures to further improve academic standards and research activities across the university.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Zahid Yousaf stressed the need to align academic programmes with market requirements to better prepare graduates for professional careers.

The meeting was informed that the university is digitizing its academic and administrative processes and working on plans to achieve quality enhancement targets efficiently.
