UoS hosts development communication exhibition highlighting social issues

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) University of Sargodha UoS on Thursday organized a “Development Communication Exhibition” under its Department of Communication and Media Studies, where students presented projects focusing on social development and public awareness.

According to the spokesperson for the UOS here, the exhibition was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Qaisar Abbas, who appreciated the students’ creativity and research-oriented efforts. He said the university is committed to providing young people with constructive and positive opportunities to enable them to play an effective role in society.

Students of the BS seventh semester showcased projects addressing a range of important social issues, including gender equality, justice, environmental protection, child abuse, clean water, food safety, and youth mental health.

Speaking on the occasion, UOS Mass Communication department Chairman Mudassar Hussain Shah said such academic and creative activities play a vital role in polishing students’ abilities and promoting social awareness.

He added that equipping students with the modern requirements of practical journalism and communication is the need of the hour.

The exhibition was supervised by Syeda Kanza Batool, while faculty members and a large number of students attended the event.
