US delegation arrives in Islamabad for talks

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) A high-powered United States delegation led by United States, Vice President J.D. Vance along with Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived here on Saturday to participate in the Islamabad Talks.

The United States (US) delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister (DPM)/Foreign Minister (FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi upon arrival, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release.

Welcoming the US Vice president, the DPM/FM commended US commitment to achieving lasting regional and global peace and stability.

DPM/FM Dar expressed the hope that parties would engage constructively, and reiterated Pakistan’s desire to continue facilitating the parties towards reaching a lasting and durable solution to the conflict.
