US-Iran talks expected in Islamabad tomorrow: US media

Pakistan has intensified diplomatic efforts to help resume dialogue between Tehran and Washington at the earliest, CNN reports

Quoting sources, CNN reported that Pakistan has intensified diplomatic efforts to help resume dialogue between Tehran and Washington at the earliest. The report said Islamabad has increased contacts with both countries, while an Iranian delegation is planning its visit to the Federal capital.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump said that a large portion of news coverage is “false or fabricated,” adding that the outcome of any potential negotiations with Iran could be unexpected.

In a statement posted on social media, he criticized what he described as fake news and misleading polls, claiming that most reports are inaccurate.

Referring to Iran, he said the results of talks could be surprising and noted that the country’s future could improve if its leadership shows wisdom.

Trump also stated that Israel has not involved him in any conflict against Iran, while reiterating his stance that Tehran should not acquire nuclear weapons.

He added that decisions related to Iran were taken in the context of the October 7 developments and again termed media coverage on the issue as misleading.
