US-Iran war reflects declining might is right policy, says Mushahid Hussain

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) Senator Mushahid Hussain condemned the US-Israeli aggression against Iran, terming the aggression a failure and a good omen for the emerging world order, as it reflected the decline of the 'Might is Right' policy.

The senator shared his views at an international conference organised by the Global Council for Tolerance & Peace (GCTP), where Pakistan was praised by the President of the host country, North Macedonia, as well as by the UAE President of the GCTP for its efforts to promote peace between Iran and the United States.

The conference was attended by the Speakers of Tanzania and Malta, as well as parliamentarians, political leaders, think tank representatives, and opinion leaders from 22 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed met the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, who appreciated Pakistan’s pivotal role in hosting peace talks between Iran and the United States and wished them success.

Senator Mushahid Hussain said the world was undergoing a historic transition marked by turbulence and transformation, with the Iran war accelerating the unraveling of the Western-led international order.

He said the decline and division of the West was an irreversible process, as the Western-led order was based on double standards and hypocrisy regarding issues facing the Global South.

The senator briefed the conference on Pakistan’s role as an honest broker between Iran and the United States, adding that peace was within reach in a few weeks.
