US stock markets climb on corporate earnings

NEW YORK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 01st May, 2026) US stocks advanced on Thursday and the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq logged their biggest ​monthly gains in years on solid corporate earnings.

The Dow Jones industrial average was up 790.33 points at 49,652.14. The S&P 500 index was up 73.06 points at 7,209.01, while the Nasdaq composite was up 219.07 points at 24,892.31.
