VC Agricultural University DIKhan stresses modern research for agricultural growth

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting held at the university, attended by heads of departments, faculty members, and administrative officers.

The vice chancellor stated that the core objective of the university is to produce skilled professionals capable of providing practical solutions to national agricultural challenges.

He directed that the curriculum be aligned with modern trends and updated according to international standards to enable students to compete globally.

Highlighting key challenges, he said that climate change, water scarcity, and low agricultural productivity require advanced scientific research.

He stressed the need to link research with field practices so that its benefits can reach farmers directly.

Dr. Shakeeb Ullah also urged faculty members to focus on practical training by providing students with opportunities in fieldwork, laboratory research, and internships.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were also held on student facilities, hostels, laboratories, and the overall academic environment. The vice chancellor directed the concerned authorities to resolve all issues on a priority basis.
