RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) The Murree administration has intensified protective measures amid ongoing monsoon spells, directing Rescue-1122 and Rescue Scouts to accelerate surveys across landslide-prone zones, stream banks and structurally weak buildings.
Under the supervision of District Emergency Officer, Engineer Kamran Rashid, teams are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of vulnerable areas, including lands adjoining Jhika Gali.
Simultaneously, inspection teams are assessing hazardous and old structures across lower Mall Road and surrounding localities.

Survey and monitoring operations have also been extended to suburban and remote hilly pockets to ensure early risk identification and safeguard tourists and residents alike.
The district administration has appealed to the public and tourists to avoid unnecessary travel during heavy downpours, stay clear of unstable slopes and dilapidated buildings, and restrict children from playing near rainwater streams.
