Wahab Ul Khairi Park receives major facelift under HAR initiative

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) The Horticulture Agency, Rawalpindi (HAR) has stepped up maintenance and beautification efforts at Wahab Ul Khairi Park in Gulzar-e-Fatima Sector as part of its drive to provide citizens with a clean, healthy and pleasant recreational environment.

Acting on the directives of Managing Director, HAR, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, the agency has further improved horticultural standards and cleanliness arrangements in the park.

According to a HAR spokesman, seasonal and ornamental flowers have been planted in different sections of the park, while routine maintenance of lawns, grass trimming and pruning of plants was being carried out regularly to enhance its appearance.

He said cleanliness of walking tracks, seating areas and children's play facilities was being ensured to provide visitors with a safe and comfortable environment for recreation and fitness activities.

He said special arrangements had also been made for the irrigation and upkeep of trees and plants in line with modern horticultural practices to promote healthy growth and sustainability.

During a recent cleanliness campaign, HAR workers removed dry leaves, weeds and other waste material from the park. New flower beds featuring colourful flowers and ornamental plants have also been developed at various locations to further improve the park's landscape.

He said Wahab Ul Khairi Park, along with other public parks in the city, was being maintained on a regular basis to ensure citizens had access to well-kept and attractive recreational spaces.
