Wanted criminal arrested in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2026) Police have arrested pro claimed offender (POs) wanted in a terrorism and attempted murder case, police said on Monday.

According to police spokesperson, the suspect had been absconding since May this year.

The case relates to an incident in which the accused, along with his accomplices, allegedly opened indiscriminate fire on a citizen's vehicle over a previous personal dispute.

Police said the arrest was made through a targeted operation using technical surveillance and human intelligence.

SP Rawal Saad Arshad commended the police team and said that one of the suspects' accomplices had already been arrested.

He added that the accused would be presented before the court with solid evidence to ensure prosecution.
