Wanted drug dealer injured, arrested in police encounter

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) Hyderabad police arrested a wanted drug dealer in injured condition following an alleged encounter on late-night Sunday near Majnoon Chang area, close to Bora Mori.

According to a district police spokesperson, the incident occurred when police signaled a notorious ice dealer, identified as Shahid alias “Misri,” son of Rahim Solangi, to stop. Instead of complying, the suspect opened fire on the police, hitting the official vehicle with two bullets.

Police retaliated and managed to apprehend the suspect in injured condition.

The accused, a resident of Husri, was found in possession of an illegal pistol with rounds and 850 grams of crystal meth (ice).

Police stated that the injured suspect was already wanted by Husri police and had been involved in more than 35 serious criminal cases including drug trafficking. He was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

The spokesperson further added that separate cases would be registered against the accused for police encounter, attempt of murder, illegal weapons possession and recovery of narcotics.
