Wanted outlaw killed in CCD encounter

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) A proclaimed criminal involved in dozens of cases including dacoity,robbery,theft and attempted murder was killed in an alleged police encounter with the Crime Control Department Jaranwala Division (CCD) on Wednesday,while his accomplices managed to escape.

According to police sources,the CCD team,acting on the directives of SP CCD Malik Tariq conducted a raid in Chak No.239-GB to arrest wanted offenders.

During the operation,four armed men riding motorcycles opened fire on the police team.

The CCD personnel retaliated and after an exchange of fire,one accused was apprehended in an injured condition,while the others fled.

The injured man was later identified as Irshad Ali,r/o Hafiz Garden.

A police spokesperson said that Irshad Ali had a criminal record spanning over two dozen cases registered at City,Saddar, and Khurarianwala police stations.

He was a proclaimed offender wanted in multiple serious cases.

The accused succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to hospital.

Police have launched a search operation and set up blockades to arrest the escapees.
