CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Following 32 millimeters of rainfall overnight, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Chiniot on Saturday launched an extensive drainage operation and successfully cleared rainwater from major roads and low-lying areas across the city.
Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan, WASA teams remained on duty throughout the night, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring and swift response to water accumulation in vulnerable locations.
According to WASA officials, the affected areas were cleared through timely interventions, continuous surveillance, and the dedicated efforts of field staff.

WASA Chiniot has urged citizens to refrain from disposing of garbage, plastic bags, and other waste materials into drains, nullahs, and sewerage lines.
