RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Managing Director of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Rawalpindi, Azizullah Khan, held an open court at the agency’s Shamsabad office on Wednesday to address public complaints, in line with the Punjab Chief Minister’s directive to ensure prompt resolution of civic issues.

A large number of residents from various parts of the city attended the session and raised concerns related to water shortages, sewerage blockages, drainage issues and billing matters.

The MD listened to each complaint in detail and issued on-the-spot instructions to directors and field officers to resolve the issues on a priority basis and provide timely relief.

Khan said public service remained WASA’s top priority, warning that negligence or delays in addressing complaints would not be tolerated. He directed officers to regularly monitor cases and keep complainants informed about progress.

He thanked citizens for their participation, noting that direct public engagement played a key role in improving institutional performance.

Khan added that similar open courts would be organised regularly in different areas of the city to ensure that public grievances are addressed at the doorstep, in line with the provincial government’s vision.
