WASA restores sewerage operations in record time

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) Managing Director (MD) Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Saqib Raza on Sunday said that sewerage and drainage operations on Millat Road near Haq Bahoo Chowk have been fully restored after completion of repair work on settled lines in record time.

He said that restoration work was carried out through special efforts and WASA engineers worked round the clock to complete the complex repair of drainage and sewerage lines which reflected their professional capabilities and commitment.

He said that rehabilitation of Channel-1F and the sewerage system has ensured smooth drainage operations in multiple areas including Chibban Road, Islamia Park, Khadija Mahmood Trust Hospital Road, Tariqabad and Nighebanpura along with other adjoining localities.

He appreciated the cooperation of residents during the repair work and said that public trust remains the key to WASA’s success.

Provision of quality drainage facilities is top priority of the agency and no compromise will be made on service standards, he added.
