WASA sets March 31 deadline for manhole geo-tagging in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) Managing Director (MD) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Saqib Raza has set March 31 as the final deadline for completion of geo-tagging of all manholes across Faisalabad and directed the officers to ensure 100 percent coverage in their respective subdivisions.

Chairing a meeting of the Operations Directorate officers, he said the geo-tagging process of manholes under the sewerage system was in its final stages and no delay in it would be tolerated.

He instructed all field formations to complete the task within stipulated time so that monitoring could formally be handed over to the Housing Department Punjab from April 01, 2026.

He emphasized that with the introduction of geo-tagging, all manholes would be visible to senior authorities at a single click, making real-time monitoring possible.
