WDD, GCWUS sign MoU to empower women

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Women Development Department (WDD) Punjab and Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to empower women in different fields.

Secretary WDD Summan Rai and VC, GCWUS, Dr. Shazia Bashir signed MoU at Committee Room of GCWUS.

During the ceremony, Summan said that the Punjab government took every possible step to empower women in the society.

She said the government introduced number of programs for the betterment of the women.

VC Dr Shazia stressed the need to empower women in the society.

She appreciated the efforts of the Punjab government to take several measures for the welfare

of women.

At the end, Summan visited annual fine arts exhibition organized by Arts & Design Department of the varsity.

She appreciated skills of the students who beautifully crafted their skills.
