DG KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) A major wheat smuggling attempt involving 45 tons of wheat was foiled by Dera Ghazi Khan Police during ongoing operations against crime across the district, officials said.

The action, carried out by SHO Raitrah, highlighted police efforts to curb illegal trade and maintain law and order.

In other operations, SHO Sadar Dera arrested a suspect for illegal possession of weapons, while SHO Civil Line handed over recovered money to the complainant in case No. 1/26 after completion of legal procedures.

Further crackdowns were carried out by SHO Kot Chutta, SHO Kala, SHO Jhok Utra and SHO City Taunsa, each of whom arrested one suspect for illegal possession of arms during targeted raids.

Police also apprehended eight proclaimed offenders wanted in various criminal cases, reflecting intensified efforts to eliminate crime across the district.
